Okay, I know what you're all thinking - I still have over a month to get my Christmas shopping done! Well, think again. The sooner you get all of your shopping out of the way - at least the big stuff - the sooner you know how much money is truly left for the more important things in life, like alcohol. So, a word to the wise - get it done... now. Here's some other motivation:

1. Like I said, the knowledge of how much money is left for booze is the best feeling in the world. No more worrying about running out halfway through the year, and being screwed into stealing everyone's gifts from the local gas station. See this video: http://youtu.be/62sFKpbPxVg

2. Shopping early means you beat the Christmas rush. I mean, who really wants to spend Black Friday getting tampled buying stuff for other people? No one. If you're going to be trampled it should at least be because you are getting a nice little (or huge) gift for yourself. 

3. If you're planning on something specific, get it before it runs out! Christmas is the one time of year when nearly everything is being planned as a gift. If you wait until the last minute they may not have it, and then you're really screwed. 

4. The earlier you shop, the easier (and cheaper) it is to shop online. If you want until the last minute, you either can't buy online because it is too soon, or you end up paying a fortune for 2-day shipping. Let's face it, shopping online is way easier than actually making the effort to go to the store. It also allows ample time for other social activities that may be more appealing to college students (AKA drinking, playing video games, or just procrastinating in general). 

So get out there (or go online) and get that shit done! Then what? Go out and celebrate being done early. Any excuse to party, right?
