The rumors of Dr. Dre's new smartphone have been confirmed.  Apparently Dre revealed his 309 million dollar deal with HTC to Globalgrind.com at some party about asses (dead serious).

The phone is set to be out in the next 2 weeks, and will be released to Verizon.  Dre says he plans to start dominating any and everything with speakers with his company "Beats By".  He says he is trying to be "the number two to Apple" and that the number two to Apple "isn't a bad place to be".  If the phone is as big a hit as his DJ head phones that just may be where he's headed.

He also says he is in the works with Chrysler, so I'm hoping that means they're gonna come out with some Bat Mobile type car, equipped with woofers that would get a deaf girl wet.

I suppose we will find out for ourselves in the next two weeks whether or not this phone is, in fact, the chronic.
