Al Gore is letting everyone know, the iPhone 5 is coming October 4th. I mean, of course he would know about this, he did invent the internet after all.
As the guest speaker at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit, Gore said, “Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month. That was a punt.”
This sent techies into a tizzy, because the ex-VP didn't specify if he meant iPhone IS or iPhones, plural. I'm just going to go ahead and say he was too lazy to add in the is, and just used a very common conjunction, so calm down nerds.
So what is reportedly knew about the generation 5? Not much. It will probably be faster thanks to a duel core processor, and is going back to its roots with rounded edges and is getting an upgraded camera.

Honestly I am more excited about upgrading to the IOS 5 than I am about a new phone. With the IOS 5 upgrade you will gain access to thousands of new apps, faster internet, and get more than 200 new features on your phone or iPad. Upgraded settings, messaging, camera use on a locked screen, better alerts and more multitasking for free sounds better than buying a new, barely upgraded $300 phone.
But really though, what would we do without Al Gore? The internet? The iPhone 5? The man is a god.
