SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
Everyone has their own set of beer pong rules that they love, but here are five of my favorites that I have encountered over the years.

#5: The Naked Lap
You’ve played against them: they’re that couple snuggling when they should be shooting, or those two blacked out freshmen. Either way, the naked lap rule ensures that all participants are giving the game their all. For those who are unfamiliar with this rule, a team is forced to partake in a naked lap if they fail to make a specified number of cups (at my house it is 4). This naked lap entails entering every room of the house where there are people, which, as you might guess, leads to some hilarious occurrences (such as my partner running outside, naked, in broad daylight to find a way to get to the second floor of a house).
Appropriate substitutes for the naked lap are Seven Minutes In Heaven (partners must sit in a secluded room/closet for seven minutes) and The Troll (partners must sit under the table for the duration of the next game).

#4: The Papelbon
Named after Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon, this rule allows players to simply hurl the ball at a cup with the hopes that it will knock one over. While controversial, I must admit that I have desperately resorted to the Papelbon in an attempt to knock over a particularly evasive final cup. Needless to say, this move did not go over too well with the opposing team.
#3: Mandatory Post-Game Jersey Trade
An extrapolation on the “mandatory post-game handshakes” rule, the post-game jersey trade takes sportsmanship to a new level. Nothing says “good game” like seeing your 6’7” friend trying to squeeze into your 5’3” girlfriend’s v-neck.
#2: No Excuses, Play Like A Champion
Sometimes, you just need a rule to encompass all rules. That’s why we have good ol’ rule number 76. Is your opponent putting his hands over your cups and throwing you off your game? Attempting a “Papelbon”? Remind him of this rule, and he’ll be sure to feel like the jerk that he is.
#1: The Slam Dunk
Not so much of a rule as it is a mythical occurrence; the slam-dunk is one of the most legendary plays in all of beer pong. The pinnacle of drunken athleticism, the slam-dunk occurs when a player launches himself over the table in order to “dunk” the ball into an opposing cup. While it is unclear whether the dunking team automatically wins or loses, one thing is certain: they are legends.

I will now be enforcing the jersey trade
never have supported the naked lap, just a frat excuse to be a bro (troll toll is way better and more humiliating)...but love the papelbon, sometimes you need to beam that cup of the table..you should do the flip side, and do a top 5 worst beer pong rules of all time (i nominate racking on 5 and the stop light rack for two spots)
