SUMOskinny magazine is the ultimate guide to college life. Part local, part national, and all college.
Dear Sumo Skinny,
It’s spring and I really want some springy drinks for afternoons and mornings (no alcohol, as I am still in study mode for finals). I’m sick of iced coffee and water, though. Do you have any suggestions for hydrating without the caffeine and with the flavor?
Sincerely,
Springtime Thirst
Dear Springtime Thirst,
There are tons of drinks you can concoct in your room sans the booze, caffeine and with the flavor. Try Crystal Light’s “On the Go” packets—you take a water bottle and pour the mix in, and you can make lemonade, iced tea, and so on.

You could also try lemonade iced tea; it’s sold at most coffee shops, and it’s a great drink to try if you don’t want that much caffeine.
The other thing we are obsessed with here at Sumo is Vitamin Water. Try any of their million flavors until you find your favorite.

One more to try is Coconut Water. While the taste is something to get used to, it is the best way to hydrate after a late night as it is filled with potassium and vitamins.

The best part? Once you are back off the finals wagon, try them as a mixer. All the flavor, lower the calories.
Sincerely,
Alessandra Siraco, Sumo-in-Residence
