Get a Hall Pass This Weekend

There is nothing I love more than full frontal male nudity, big boobs and fart jokes. Lucky for me, the Farrelly Brothers just came out with a new movie.

Hall Pass follows the misadventures of best friends Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) as they navigate what it's like to be single once again, after both their wives become so fed up with their obsession with sex that they give their husbands a "Hall Pass" from marriage.  Little do they know, their wives Maggie (Jenna Fisher) and Grace (Christina Applegate) give themselves a Hall Pass for the week too.

“I think suburban guys in Illinois are the similar to suburban guys in Colorado and suburban guys in Rhode Island, “ Peter said in an interview with Sumo Skinny, “there’s not that much difference for that matter, from suburban guys in Spain. We feel this kind of movie works culturally everywhere, there’s the same issue, except maybe Italy where they say, ‘We have a word for Hall Pass, it’s called the weekend’,” Pete adds, and trust me, I've dated suburban guys in RI and Spain, and it is true. You're all alike guys, sorry.

Pete and Bobby are modest about the fact that they practically invented their own brand of comedy, and I am happy to report with Hall Pass they seem to be getting back to their Farrelly brand comedy roots, creating new catch phrases in Hall Pass, like "fake chow" (involves going down on a girl, but I won't ruin the joke for you).

Owen and Jason play the perfect doofus duo bumbling through their new found singlehood, just trying to get a little by hitting on girls half their age playing the perfect old man creepers in the club, while somehow maintaining a sweetness that makes you kind of want to root for them to get laid.

"We have friends who are single now and to watch them is both painful and hilarious," Pete said, "you look at him and say, seriously? Thats your rap now? That's pathetic. You can't go 20 years without talking to women and expect to be good at it."

Go to see Hall Pass for the Farrelly level jokes, and stay for the solid comedy that makes you want to go home and see if "fake chowing" someone really works.
