National FAILthem

Hopefully as American citizens we all can manage to sing the National Anthem without messing up. Even if the words are sort of butchered, we can hum it or at least get the main sounds across, right? During her performance at the Superbowl, Christina Aguilera completely forget a line in the song and replaced it with one that she already said. Instead of saying, "O'er ramparts we watched, were so galantly streaming," she said: "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last gleaming?"

Nobody's perfect, but the National Anthem isn't something anyone should mess up, especially if you have been living in America for more than say, five years. Hopefully she doesn't blame this incident on nerves because this was not the first performance she's ever had in her life. Hasn't she been singing in front of millions of people for years? Check out the epic American fail below in this video provided by youtube. The quality isn't the best, but it certainly gets the point across.

Here are the actual words. Get practicing, Christina.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
